Zero Tolerance

At The Surgery we operate a ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy with regard to any form of abuse, whether physical or verbal. Examples of what is considered abuse include:

Abusive or threatening comments
Use of ‘bad language’
Physical contact
Aggressive gestures

In keeping with the rest of the National Health Service this ‘Zero tolerance’ policy is enforced with regard to the protection of all staff. This means that NO abuse of any doctor, nurse or member of staff is accepted and any patient behaving in this manner may be removed from the practice list. In some cases, the police may be involved.
