As a patient of this practice, you have a responsibility to ….
- treat the doctors & practice staff with courtesy.
- be punctual for appointments.
- advise us as soon as possible if you cannot keep an appointment.
- make 1 appointment for each person who needs to be seen,
- request a ‘double appointment’ if you have several problems, complicated problems, or it’s for a medical.
- be patient if appointments are over-running - it may be you who needs extra time on another occasion.
- Ring the nurse for your results, when you’ve had test done at The Surgery
- only request a home visit if you are housebound by the problem. Children can normally be brought to the surgery safely.
- contact the doctor out of hours ONLY for an emergency which cannot wait to the following day
- be prepared to see any doctor in the practice in an emergency. Your preferred doctor may not be available.
- carefully follow the instructions on your prescription and comply with any requests contained on it.
