Teaching & Training

We are involved in training some senior medical students at times in the practice. This means that on occasion, a senior medical student or junior doctor may sit in on consultations with one of our own doctors. You will be advised, when booking your appointment, if training is scheduled. If you prefer to see a doctor alone, please inform the receptionists.

Most years we will have a GP registrar attached to the practice, usually for a period of 6 - 12 months. A registrar is a fully qualified doctor who has been practising medicine in a hospital environment to date & who wishes to move into general practice. As a training practice we meet all the quality assurance criteria set by the Health & Social Care Group.
