Welcome to The Surgery, Shankill Road

Important message about Coronavirus (Covid-19)

If you are experiencing cough, fever, shortness of breath, flu-like symptoms, or upper respiratory tract symptoms, please stay in your home and phone to speak to a GP.  Do not attend the practice without phoning first.  This is to reduce risk of spreading the coronavirus infection.  Avoid contact with other people. Stay in your home and telephone 111 for the NHS coronavirus service.

You should be aware that we are putting measures in place in order to safeguard you, our patients and our staff, given the current coronavirus outbreak.

Access to the surgery is from front of the building only. You will be asked to wait in the hall to speak to a receptionist before being granted access to the main building. You should be aware that all routine GP appointments are cancelled whilst this public health emergency is ongoing. You may telephone the surgery before 10am if you feel you need to be seen urgently by a GP.

Baby clinic is also cancelled for the time being, however if your child is due an immunisation you should speak to one of our receptionists about this.

The NHS has set up a website to enable people to request an isolation note to be used if you are asked to self-isolate. Go to https://111.nhs.uk/isolation-note and follow the prompts to complete the form, which will then be emailed to you. We would be grateful if you would continue to allow 48hrs before collecting repeat prescriptions; this is due to the sheer volume of prescription requests and telephone calls.

We will keep you updated of further changes at the practice. This is an uncertain time for us all and we appreciate your cooperation. Thank you.

Our aim is to provide our patients with the best possible care, within the resources available to us, dealing with any problem as efficiently as possible.
